Since I’m always on the go, it’s important for me to always stay fueled for the day. When I don’t have the time to sit and have a meal, or when I just want something quick and easy, I like to throw together a delicious smoothie.
If you’re not sure where to start, we had Zach (our resident health and wellness expert) share some of his favorite smoothie recipes that anyone will love!
Staying on top of your nutrition is integral to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That doesn’t mean denying yourself, but making sure you have the nutrients stay fueled up for the day ahead.
These recipes are packed with what you need to stay energized and be productive. They’ll leave you feeling satisfied and ready to tackle the day!
The ingredients for each are below and all you need to do is toss them into a blender and you are ready to go.
strawberry matcha Mint
This is one of my go-to summer smoothies. It’s light and refreshing, but still filling enough that you won’t be tempted to snack right after drinking it. The matcha will give you a boost of energy, while the collagen gives you all of the health and beauty benefits that come with it (which you can read more about here).
Ingredients
- 1 cup mango juice
- 1/2 cup strawberries (preferably frozen)
- 1 scoop Vital Proteins Matcha Collagen
- 2-3 mint leaves
Banana cocoa almond butter
This smoothie will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth! I love to use dates to add a lot of sweetness without using added sugar. The hemp seeds are a fantastic source of healthy fats and make the smoothie extra filling. You should try freezing your bananas (with the skin off) to keep the smoothie thick and cold. This is going to be higher calorie than the first smoothie, so it makes a great meal replacement smoothie.
Ingredients
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 date (pitted)
- Half a banana (preferably frozen)
- 2 tablespoons almond butter
- 1 tablespoon hemp seed (plus more for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder (plus more for garnish)
Coffee Milkshake
This is without a doubt the most decadent tasting on the list – but it’s worth it. I could have one of these for breakfast and easily not be hungry until lunch. The coffee will give wake you up while the dairy free ice cream keeps you satisfied. The collagen adds some great health benefits without affecting the flavor.
ingredients
- 1 cup cold brew coffee
- 1/2 cup dairy-free ice cream (I use Nada Moo)
- 1 scoop Vital Collagen Peptides
- 1 teaspoon cacao nibs (plus more for garnish)
