With our 3rd week of working from home coming to an end, we hope that you, our readers, are staying safe and using this site as a place of respite during this challenging time. To help you out, we’re back with the best bookmarks of the week, sharing the homes, places, and products to give you an inspiring boost.
This week we’re showcasing three stylish spaces that not only look good, but are filled with inspiration, from a bright and earthy Los Angeles home, to a colorful hideaway in the Hamptons, to a clean and crisp London townhouse. We’ve also got shoppable products to help you get through this time of social distancing (like super comfy slippers and relaxing bath bombs). In addition, we’re highlighting products and brands that are giving back to organizations helping with Coronavirus relief and aid. If you can, please support during this unprecedented time.

Pacific Perfection – A Before & After You Have To See To Believe
This home, nestled on a hill in Los Angeles, got a total re-do courtesy of designer Carly Waters. What started as an abandoned space was transformed into a super comfortable and calming escape with an updated and open layout. Integrated wood built-ins were designed to decrease clutter, while warm and textured materials like handmade tile, terracotta flooring and plaster walls bring a down-to earth vibe. Throw in a pool and a sweeping view, and we’d say this home is just about perfect.
Companies Giving Back
In the face of this world-wide event, companies across the globe are stepping up to give back and help support life-saving causes. And many are offering products that allow you to help in their efforts.
- All proceeds from this t-shirt from Everlane go to Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund.
- Each purchase of this UV sanitizer from Casetify goes directly towards Global Giving’s Relief Fund.
- The sale of face masks by LA Apparel helps to fund their ability to donate masks to essential health care providers on the front lines.
- And candle maker Otherland is donating 10% of sales to the Food Bank for NYC.

Color has a powerful way of influencing our mood. So it’s no surprise that this Hamptons home, decked out in lots of soothing shades, has got us smiling. Designed by Ryan Lawson, it’s filled with spaces in sunny yellow, soothing greens and pale lavender. Along with an array of colors, there’s a mix of styles and eras, resulting in a home that feels refined put perfectly playful at the same time.
Getting Comfortable At Home
Besides staying safe (and staying home), nows the time to get comfortable and do some much needed self-care. We can’t think of a better way than with a relaxing bath, courtesy of this effervescent spearmint and eucalyptus bath bomb. It’s filled with Epsom salts and essential oils to give you a relaxing soak to let your stress melt away. And once you hop out of the bath, slip on these fleece slippers to keep cozy and comfy all day.

A Bright Idea For Spring
If you need something to give your space a colorful punch, look no further than Artist Mariska Meijers. The Amsterdam based painter and designer has plenty of prints (along with tablewares, pillows and fashion) that are literally bursting with color and life. We particularly love her paintings of tulips, flowering branches, and blossoms set against colorful geometric backgrounds. They’re just the thing to get your space ready for Spring.
We previously shared how to install a dimmer switch, but we’ve got an even easier solution for lowering lighting. This plug in dimmer allows you to instantly dim any light with a plug – table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces or plugin pendants. With a built-in adjustable slide that sits easily on a tabletop, It’s also perfect for a bedside lamp, allowing you to lower the light to a softer glow and fall asleep more seamlessly.
