New Traditional In New York

For a modern take on traditional style, look no further than this inspiring New York apartment. Designed by Matthew Caughy, this family home mixes plenty of classical pieces with modern lighting, streamlined furniture, and graphic pieces of art. A soothing color palette of white, grey, and blues also keeps things grounded and an array of accessories adds lots of interest and personality.

An Airy Amsterdam Abode

A Period townhouse in the Dutch city of Haarlem got a top to bottom re-design courtesy of design firm Avenue. Working with the unique architectural details- like a carved marble fireplace and original leaded glass windows – they gave the space a dose of earthy colors, easy elegance, and modern touches. We’re especially fond of the kitchen, with a glass ceiling that floods the room in light, and a wall of shaker style cabinetry in soothing green.

Easy Decor Updates

We’ve always got our eyes peeled for new and exciting products, and this week we’re sharing pieces that will help you easily update your space. A pair of these pretty ceramic table lamps would look striking on your nightstands and have a textured pattern that keeps them interesting. And for something a little less subtle, opt for this colorful geometric pillow (that comes in three different colorways) to bring some pattern to your place.

An Inspiring Australian Kitchen

It was love at first sight when we spotted this kitchen from a home in the leafy Sydney suburb of Bellevue Hill. Designers Handelsmann & Khaw cleverly combining rustic, refined, and modern, but its use of stunning natural stone is what truly sets it apart. From the richly veined checkerboard floor to the marble island countertop, it’s a real visual treat that’s left us totally inspired for our next project.

Our Favorite Products Of The Week

This week, we shared How To Add Interest With Color, along with all the products you need to create a colorful dining room. Among our favorites were this sculptural pink vase that would look great just about anywhere, and this tropical print that will have you feeling island vibes. As for your wardrobe, it’s all about Stripes For All Types. We shared 31 striped pieces for men and women, including this easy popover shirt to stay casual and cool, and a pair of fun striped sandals perfect for day or night.
