A Contemporary Take On a Laidback Lodge

What happens when a small town lodge gets transformed by a designer known for cool and laid back interiors? You get San Luis Creek Lodge, a new hotel designed by Nina Freudenberger of Haus Interiors. Located in the central California town of San Luis Obisbo, the former hotel was gutted to create a bright and relaxing vibe, complete with striped wallpaper, Block Shop artwork, and whitewashed stone fireplaces. Now, it’s a contemporary space with lots of character and inspiring design details that’s perfect for a weekend getaway.

An Etsy Collab That’s Totally Tan

You know our friend Tan France as Queer Eye’s resident fashion expert. But did you also know he’s got quite the eye for design? Partnering with Etsy, he’s curated a collection of home goods, accessories (and of course some fashion pieces) that are perfect for getting cozy and stylish at home. Among our favorites are a striking sculptural vase, cute leather slippers (we can’t wait to try on), and this cedar, pine and bergamot candle that will totally transport you.

A Stylish Swedish Apartment

Scandinavian style is all about soothing tones, simple shapes, and natural materials. And this Swedish apartment has got all of that – and then some. Located in a charming 1889 building in Gothenburg, the 2 bedroom space is awash in light and furnished with modern pieces in a color palette of beige, ivory, and brown. And as the days get shorter, it’s the ideal spot to hunker down and get hygge (a Danish term for coziness and comfort). Oh, and it’s for sale!

A San Francisco Kitchen That’s Got It All

With tons of storage, an eye towards function, (and a view of the Golden Gate Bridge!), this kitchen really does have it all. Designed by Studio Munroe, the kitchen seamlessly mixes contemporary and traditional, utilizing light wood cabinetry and a marble tile backsplash to create an open and airy feeling space. We especially love the built-in desk and open shelving that creates the perfect spot to WFH (and conveniently grab a snack from the fridge).

Our Favorite Target Home Products For Fall

One of our favorite things about fall (besides crisp weather and a PSL) is bringing in lots of cozy and seasonal accessories. And the new Threshold line by Studio McGee has lots of pieces that are perfect for an autumnal update. This rust-colored pillow is ideal for bringing in warmth and texture (and comes in 3 sizes), while this round wood mirror will look great paired with a console table in an entryway. And nothing could be better (Or more seasonally appropriate) than cuddling on the couch with this boucle blanket on a sunny fall afternoon.
