A Warm & Welcoming Re-Model
We love a dramatic before and after, and this Southern California home definitely delivers some serious wow. Designers Studio McGee totally transformed this basic ranch-style home into a warm and welcoming space with soaring ceilings and plenty of impactful design elements. Mixing dark-colored cabinetry with white walls and light oak floors, the home skillfully balances moody and bright, while the furnishings create a relaxed and easy take on farmhouse style. And to see even more of their work, you can also check out Studio McGee’s new show on Netflix, premiering October 16th.

Forecasting The Cool Colors for 2021
Want to know what paint colors will be on everyone’s walls next year? Paint brand Behr is already predicting the shades that will shine brightest in 2021. And since staying home has become such a large part of our lives, they’re forecasting colors that evoke “elevated comfort” and relaxation. Dusty shades of pink, ivory, and earthy golds are on their list, along with soothing shades of blue and green. And since we fully endorse using color to create a calming vibe, we can’t wait to see these tones popping up on walls next year. CLICK HERE to see all the predictions.
A New Line Of Organic Modern Essentials
LA-based interior design firm Amber Interiors has just released a new home line with Anthropologie – and it’s full of pieces to perfectly complement your space. Featuring furniture, lighting, decor, and serving pieces, the collection is all about the firm’s signature laidback, organic, and Cali-cool style. Among our favorite pieces are these easy to pair olive-colored side plates, a subtly patterned throw pillow, and a stylish set of rattan wrapped serving tools.

A Delightfully Simple Desert Retreat
Plaster walls, built-in seating, and a simple and natural aesthetic are what set this desert retreat apart. Located in the remote enclave of Pioneertown, California, homeowner, and photographer Magdalena Wosinska transformed a tiny adobe house into a picture-perfect retreat. With a focus on simple furnishings and rustic materials, she created a home that feels sparse and serene – just like it’ desert surroundings. And the addition of a pool (and outdoor shower) makes it the ideal place to stay cool from the desert’s scorching rays.
Our Favorite Products This Week
This week, we shared a tasty and tail-wagging recipe for dog ice cream, along with some of the best products for the pampered pooch in your life. Among our absolute favorites are this unique rope and leather dog collar that will set your pet apart from the pack, and this super chic dog bowl (Because your best friend needs to eat in style too!) And as chillier weather sets in, be sure to outfit your pooch in an oh-so-cute fleece-lined parka for those morning visits to the dog park.
