If you’ve ever spent time in the desert, you know all about hot weather, rocky landscapes, and wide open expanses. And for our newest model home project, we took inspiration from one other prominent natural detail: the captivating colors of the desert skies. From brilliant blues to sherbert-colored pinks, to the endless black of night, this home is full of tones pulled straight from above – and we’re sharing all the design details.
Like the Naturally Modern project, this model home is also part of Tri Pointe Homes Arroyo’s Edge community in Summerlin, Nevada. Arroyo’s Edge elevates desert living through innovative design, state-of-the-art amenities, and, of course, stylish homes. And today, we’re bringing you all details (and stunning photos) of another design in the community, which we’ve dubbed Desert Skies.
Stay tuned for 1 MORE DESIGN REVEAL from the Arroyo’s Edge community coming next week!
DESERT SKIES MODEL HOME
Behind The Design
For this 2,126-square-foot model home, we created a modern space inspired by the expansive skies – and colors – found in the desert. Using soothing shades of deep navy, pale blue, blush, salmon, and beige, we showcased different tones (and times of day) for a home that certainly fits in with its environment. We also brought in plenty of graphic accents in the form of artwork, lighting, and wallpaper. Light wood tones throughout create contrast with midnight black accents and sculptural furniture.
Among the standout spaces, the primary suite has an easy and more subdued vibe (including a headboard that mimics a rising sun), while the “podcast room” is a totally unique addition that encourages colorful recorded conversation. Overall, this model home certainly proves that when it comes to design, the sky’s the limit!
