The Healthiest Frozen or Pre-Made Meals (For When You Just Don’t Want To Cook)

The frozen food section at the grocery store can sometimes get a bad reputation. Quick and easy typically doesn’t mean healthy – but that is not always true. And just like everyone else, some days I just really, really don’t feel like cooking. (I’m sure you all know the feeling.) That’s why I like to keep a few frozen and pre-made meals around that just take a few minutes to throw together.

So I asked Zach to do some shopping at the grocery store and share a few of his top picks for easy pre-made dishes that taste good – and are good for you.

Turkey Sausage & Egg White Breakfast Bowl

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but sometimes you just can’t be bothered to cook first thing in the morning. This breakfast bowl is well rounded, full of protein, and good either on it’s own or on top of some avocado toast!

For any vegetarians or vegans out there this one is a great option! Even if you’re not either this meal is still going to be convenient, filling, and tasty. My suggestion is saute it instead of using the microwave to get a better texture and bring out the flavor.

This one is a little bit more in the cheat meal category than the healthy one, but it’s definitely worth it. It’s creamy, packed with flavor, and will be ready in minutes. Add a little bit of blackened chicken, tofu, or pulled pork for extra protein if you want. I like to heat it up then put it in a nice plate with a glass of wine because, you know, I’m just that fancy!
