After its 2nd season premiered last month, it’s safe to say that Bridgerton has become more than a tv show. It’s a full-on cultural phenomenon. While you’re probably tuning in for the salacious storyline and over-the-top period fashion, for us, it’s the opulent interiors that might just be stealing the show. And we’re predicting that Bridgerton-inspired spaces might just be taking over the design world too.
Set in Regency Era during the early 1800s, Bridgerton centers on the 8 siblings of the Bridgerton family as they look for love amidst London’s high society. And as the backdrop for extravagant balls, elegant dinners, and plenty of gossip, the interiors certainly make a statement of their own. Crystal chandeliers, decorative moldings, rich colors, velvet, and lots of gold all feature prominently in the spaces. And even though these spaces might be 200 years old (and totally over the top), there are still lots of design details that feel fresh – and will be making their way into interiors in 2022.
