Pile On The Pumpkins

Whether real or faux, this Halloween, make pumpkins the star of the show! A pile of pumpkins makes a seasonal statement wherever you place it: on a mantel, a front porch, or a shelf. Go classic with an array of orange tones, or try something a bit more modern with a collection of white or black. However you choose to display them, just remember to really pile them on. A large grouping of different shapes and sizes will have the biggest impact.

Go Totally Batty

For most of the year, you definitely don’t want any unwanted flying creatures in your home. But come Fall, a flock of bats flying up your wall is a chic and super simple way to get in the Halloween spirit. Any large open wall (or a mantel or window) makes an ideal spot to stick these winged wonders, or you can opt for a hanging version and suspend them from your ceiling for a cute, cave-like effect. Go with a free-flowing, organic shape on the wall to mimic bats frightfully flying.

Embrace The Dark Side

Nothing says dramatic and elegantly eery quite like black. So for the easiest way to get your home Halloween-ready, simply bring in black accents. Swap out your candles for devilishly dark tapers, set your dining table in shades of noir, or bring in plush black pillows and throws. They will add a subtle nod to the spooky season, but are also suitable fo use year-round.

Channel one of Mother Nature’s creepier creatures – a spider- when creating your Halloween decor.  Spin your own web by draping cobwebs on a bookshelf, stair railing, or dining table. But don’t go overboard – you want your home to look chic not condemned. You can also add an oversized spider to your space for an added element of stylish screams.
