Bobby Designs The Genesis Lounge At Sofi Center
After 10 years in interior design, Bobby has taken on all sorts of projects, from a ground-up barn to Barbie’s living room to a virtual showhouse. However, for a project earlier this year, Bobby entered a whole new arena – literally – and designed a luxe lounge for a one-of-a-kind golf stadium! Let’s take a look at all the details and see how Bobby took a big swing designing the Genesis Lounge at Sofi Center!

Partnering With Genesis
Bobby is no stranger to the Genesis brand. He’s been a partner with the carmaker (and Genesis owner) since 2023. But now the brand was tasking him with an opportunity unlike anything he had ever tackled before. Genesis asked Bobby to create a sleek lounge space at the SoFi Center, a state-of-the-art venue in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, that serves as the home of the TGL golf league. The lounge would be a well-appointed destination to relax, eat, drink, and watch the new golf league, which combines technology with teams of top players from the PGA Tour.
While the Sofi Center was already complete, the lounge area was completely empty – just a concrete shell ready to be turned into a special spot for spectators. So Bobby and the design team got to work dreaming up an enviable golf-inspired interior.

The Design Vision
Bobby’s vision for the lounge was to blend automotive elegance with the vibrant energy of live sports. The 1,500 sq foot space would offer a refined retreat for golf enthusiasts, with custom seating reminiscent of Genesis’ signature interiors and sleek drink rails and leather-accented furnishings. Elevated materials, like light oak flooring, walnut cabinetry, and sophisticated textiles evoking menswear fabrics, would establish a timeless ambiance. The design would balance cutting-edge technology with subtle nods to golf culture, creating an immersive yet intimate experience. Tailored seating, plush booths, and sleek lighting perfectly blend style and comfort, reflecting Genesis’ innovative spirit while amplifying
the thrill of live gameplay.

The Entry
The completed Genesis Lounge stayed true to Bobby’s design vision and was brought to life in 4 distinct zones: The Entry, The Bar, Dining Area, & Viewing Area.
The entry sets the tone for the lounge with a textured black wall, Genesis logo, and custom host stand, and it leads directly into the bar and dining area. To the left, the Grab&Go area features a wooden built-in with snacks and a mini fridge stocked with beverages, as well as a curated wall of black & white golf photography.

The Bar
The bar features a walnut island and cabinetry, and an expansive creamy white stone countertop. Black counterstools and Mid-Century inspired pendants add sleek accents, and behind the bar, Bobby opted for a vinyl tweed wallcovering that would create a subtle texture, and most importantly, be durable.

Dining Area
For a tailored yet casual dining spot, we added a built-in banquette wall with channel tufted upholstery. Low round tables and chairs provide intimate areas for pairs, and a black & white carpet softens the area. On the wall, a topographic wallcovering is inspired by the rolling terrain of a golf course, and provides a sophisticated backdrop to the space.

Viewing Area
For an additional seating option that would be even closer to the action, Bobby also brought in some high-top seating close to the green (and even tried it out on his recent site visit!) Sculptural bar stools were paired with round high-top tables for the perfect perch for those who want a front row seat to the exciting golf tournaments.
