How Your iPhone Can Help You Do Laundry
You may have noticed that most articles of clothing (along with bedding and towels) often have symbols on the tag – along with the fiber composition. While they might seem like some indecipherable language (almost like laundry hieroglyphics) they actually all have meanings, and are intended to instruct you on how to clean the garment. But how do you know what those symbols mean? That’s where your iPhone comes in!
It’s as simple as taking a photo of the tag on your garment. Once you snap a pic, go to your photos app and click on the image. Below the image and you will see a “Laundry Care” icon in the info section. (Note- this feature is only available on iOS17 and higher.)
Click on the icon and information on the photo will pop up. Then just click again on “Look Up Laundry Care”. Siri will then show all the symbols from the tag – and exactly what each means, whether it is do not bleach, instruction on washing and drying, how to iron, or if dry cleaning is recommended. You now have all the info you need to properly care for your garment – and an easy hack to help you do laundry!
