My Monthly Recap: October 2025

October has now come and gone, and this month I was on the move visiting projects, attending store openings, and heading to one of my favorite places in the world. Let me show you (and tell you) all about it!

OCTOBER 2ND – SUNNY DAYS & GREAT DESIGN

To kick off the month, I visited the Tri Pointe Homes Paseo Sereno community just north of San Diego. My team and I designed 3 townhomes in the picturesque, hillside location, and I got a chance to tour the models, meet the San Diego Tri Pointe Homes team, and sit down for some interviews to talk about my favorite subject – design!

OCTOBER 4TH – CELEBRATING FOR A CAUSE

Dewey and I had the privilege to attend the gala for My Friend’s Place, an organization that assists youth experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles. This amazing non-profit helps young people ages 12 through 24 to move beyond day-to-day survival challenges and take the first steps toward building the life they dream of.

OCTOBER 16TH – CUTTING THE RIBBON

I hopped on a plane to NYC to attend the opening of the new Theodore Alexander showroom in Manhasset. Besides getting to cut the ribbon (that was a first!) I got to meet the team, check out their gorgeous space, and sign a few copies of my book.

OCTOBER 20TH – GOOD MORNING, VIETNAM!

After a busy few weeks, it was time for some rest and relaxation. So I was off to my next destination – Vietnam – to do just that. Dewey and I touched down in Ho Chi Minh City and checked into the Mia Siagon, and then immediately went to grab food! Since then, I’ve been swimming, lounging, checking out the sights, and eating even more! We’ll be here for a few more weeks exploring other cities in this amazing and vibrant country.
