Bobby Berk Headquarters: How Our Stone Is Holding Up After A Year And A Half

Photo: Sara Tramp

Earlier this year, we took you on a tour of the new Bobby Berk Headquarters – including all the furnishings and materials we used to bring it to life. But this is more than just a pretty space. It’s a real working office that is used by our team 5 days a week. So after being here for a year and a half, we thought we would update you on exactly how things are looking – starting with all the stylish stone we sourced from Daltile.

For the countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms, we turned to Daltile for stone that would really stand out – and stand up to lots of use. But how is it looking now? You’re about to see for yourself.  We’re also sharing all the products we use to keep the marble and soapstone looking their best!

THE KITCHEN

The Calacatta Gold Marble by Daltile is a real statement piece for the kitchen. We knew we wanted this stone due to its gray veining and unique pattern. While marble may feel like a risky choice for a high-traffic kitchen that gets plenty of use during lunchtime, with proper care and cleaning (and wiping up stains), it still looks great!

THE POWDER ROOM

In the powder room, we opted for a custom vanity in White Calacatta Extra Marble by Daltile. This bathroom gets the most use at HQ, with plenty of water splashed around as hands are washed. Luckily, treated marble is water resistant, so there are no spots left behind and it appears as good as the day it was installed!

THE GUEST BATH

Upstairs in the guest bath, the Honed Soapstone Countertop from Daltile added striking contrast to the white vanity. As an extremely non-porous material, soapstone is a great choice for a wet environment like a bathroom. So it should come as no surprise that it’s looking striking a year and half later.

THE PRIMARY BATH

The same stone used in the kitchen, the Calacatta Gold Marble also makes for a gorgeous addition to the primary bathroom. With less use than the other two baths, this marble remains in peak condition, adding a unique touch we can’t get enough of.
