Bobby has worked with lots and lots of clients over the years, from home builders to families, to his very own parents! But for his most recent makeover, he had one very high-profile client – and some truly special spaces to transform. The one and only Paris Hilton tasked Bobby with designing two high-traffic areas at the LA LGBT Youth Center just in time for Pride Month!
For this makeover, Paris asked Bobby to transform the laundry room and closet at the LA LGBT Youth Center, creating highly functional and inviting spaces with a true feeling of being supported and at home. These rooms are a part of the vital mission of the Youth Center, which aids young people ages 16—24 who are at risk of or are currently experiencing homelessness or housing instability and provides vital services. So with the design brief and support from iHeartMedia and Paris’ 11:11 Media Impact, Bobby and our team came up with a colorful design that was empowering, engaging, and as Paris would say, totally “sliving”.
You can see even more of this makeover on “Can’t Cancel Pride”, a TV special celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community that airs tonight at 8 PM ET on Hulu – and in this article in People.

ABOUT THE DESIGN
Doing laundry in a space that resembles a laundromat isn’t exactly thrilling (or remotely fun), especially for teens and young adults. So we took this run-of-the-mill room and turned it into a bright, energizing space with plenty of pattern to help make the chore much more engaging. Bobby’s wiggle room wallpaper brought new life to the walls, and 8 new washers and dryers were added to help out with all those loads of laundry. We placed a playful gallery wall on one side of the room, and a reflective pink wall sign opposite (courtesy of Paris, of course) to remind the residents to keep sliving!
“I love transforming a purely functional and mundane area into something vibrant and new through design. It’s not just about the physical change, but also how this renovation will uplift the mood of everyone who uses the space.

ABOUT THE DESIGN
The closet is symbolic in the lives of LGBTQIA+ people. It represents the place you “come out” of to live your true and authentic life. So when designing this closet, we instead wanted a room that affirms who you are and makes you look and feel good in your body. We first covered the walls in Bobby’s Eye See You wallpaper for a fun backdrop, then brought in a wall-to-wall shelving system to house all the stylish clothing donated by IHL Group and Fabletics. A floor-length mirror and a fun neon sign finish things off, creating a closet made for fun fashion moments – and Paris-approved.
