All The Bobby Berk Design Projects Of 2022

There’s nothing we love more than debuting a brand new design project! And in 2022, we shared not 1, not 2, but 4 fabulous spaces. With work ranging from model homes, to the ultimate vacation property, to a small but very stylish kitchen, there was a diverse array of design on display. Today, we’re reflecting on all our hard work – and taking a look back at the Bobby Berk design projects of the past year.

In 2022, we tackled some of our most unique (and stylish) projects yet. The styles ranged from Spanish to Scandinavian to Mid-Century to Modern. Some took many months to pull off, others just a few short weeks. One was the biggest property we’ve ever designed, and another just a compact kitchen. But the 1 thing they all have in common? We shared them with you (and we’re doing it again!)

Casa Tierra

Back in June, we shared our biggest project yet! Bobby totally reimagined and revamped this 1970s-era property, which consists of a main house, 2 private casitas, and 2.3 acres of grounds. By blending the original Spanish-style architecture with organic modern details, global-inspired furnishings, and unique materials and textures, Bobby created the ultimate desert escape – which is now available to rent through Airbnb!

Modern Scandinavian Farmhouse

Part of the Woodlands Reserve community by Tri Pointe Homes, we aimed to bring together two different styles in this home – Scandinavian and Farmhouse – into a harmonious, bright and relaxing home. To achieve this, we focused on materials, colors and furnishings that would create contrast and balance. Crisp whites and light toned oak have a decidedly minimal and airy feel. Against this muted canvas, simple sculptural lighting is on display and clean lined Scandinavian silhouettes take center stage.

Warm & Welcoming Mid-Century

For this project, also part of the Woodlands Reserve community by Tri Pointe Homes, we took a moodier approach to the design. Envisioned as a “Mad Men” inspired retreat for the 21st century, this interior is a study in contrast, warmth, and, of course, Mid-Century inspired touches. A minimal palette of black, white and gray sets the stage for the entire home. Streamlined Mid-Century inspired furniture and lighting further enhances the interiors, linking it to the past, while also embracing the present to create a welcoming and warm home.

Green Kitchen & Laundry Room

Our design goal for this compact kitchen and laundry? Implement easy updates that would only take a month to complete, and create a bright and modern new look that matched the rest of the home. To save time, we kept the cabinet boxes in tact, simply replacing the fronts and painting them to match. New silstone countertops and backsplash created a bright and seamless surface, along with updated appliances, floating shelves and brass hardware. In the laundry room, we brought in a patterned floor tile for visual interest. This design proved that with the right materials and design choices, even a small space can have a big impact.
