MODERN scandinavian FARMHOUSE

The Design Details

For this project, part of the Woodlands Reserve community by Tri Pointe Homes, we aimed to bring together two different styles – Scandinavian and Farmhouse – into a harmonious, bright and relaxing home. To achieve this, we focused on materials, colors and furnishings that would create  contrast and balance.

Crisp whites and light toned oak have a decidedly minimal and airy feel. Against this muted canvas, simple sculptural lighting is on display and clean lined Scandinavian silhouettes take center stage. Farmhouse touches show up in the form of spindle back counter stools, black iron stair railings and shiplap walls in the primary bedroom. A few accents of green also offer up visual interest, and a subtle break in the otherwise neutral palette.

A feeling of serenity definitely infuses the interior of this understated, easy and relaxed design. Taking the best of both Scandinavian design and the rustic touches of farmhouse style, we created a space that’s made for modern living and casual comfort.
