Neutral & Natural: The Club Room, Powder Room & Outdoor Lounge (And Everything You Need To Get The Look)

It’s our final day of reveals on our neutral and natural project. We’ve taken you on a tour through the living room and the kitchen, the primary suite and the guest bedrooms. And we’re finishing things off today with some of our favorite spaces – the game room, powder room and outdoor lounge.

Continuing our design theme of black and white, we approached these 3 spaces as extensions of the rest of the home. For the Club Room, we created a cozy and masculine space that combines clean lines with more graphic elements, whereas the Powder room was all about making a statement with an eye-catching wallpaper. And for the Outdoor Lounge, we took a relaxed approach, keeping things comfortable for the perfect spot to unwind.

CLUB ROOM

Intended as a place to sit back, unwind and watch tv, the Club Room is a stylish spot that doesn’t take itself too seriously. A black accent wall and fireplace bring in visual weight, as does the black leather Burrard Sofa from Article. For more comfy spots to kick back, there’s a pair of modern armchairs and a caramel-colored leather lounge chair. Streamlined black side tables provide a convenient spot to set drinks, and a rustic wood coffee table adds some warmth. For a bit of edge and contrast, we brought in the graphic Tasha Wool Rug from Annie Selke, arched pendant light and an oversized piece of geometric art. Rustic wood shelves provide plenty of space for wine glasses and containers, while also displaying art and accessories. And a built-in wet bar and wine fridge make grabbing a drink easier than ever.

POWDER ROOM

The powder room is just off the entry so we definitely wanted to make a statement in this room, and did just that with this graphic wallpaper. This print brings in lots of character, while still sticking to our neutral palette. To complement the wallpaper without competing, we chose the Folk Abigail Ball Pendant and Angular Cylinder Pendant from Rejuvenation. The scale of the lighting gives it a sculptural quality and helps draw the eye up. A simple black frame mirror and wall mount faucets keep things clean, and a black vase and framed line drawing are the perfect accessories to give the finishing touch.

OUTDOOR LOUNGE

For the final space in the home, comfort was key. We wanted the Outdoor Lounge to be the perfect place to end the day in style. For the furniture, we went with the Kezia Sectional and Urba Coffee Table from Article. The clean lines and combination of teak and charcoal grey upholstery fit perfectly with the overall design theme, and provide ample seating. To soften things up underfoot, we added the Mingled Rope Rug from Annie Selke, along with plenty of textured pillows and a cozy throw. A potted succulent in a low planter brings in some greenery, and a pair of minimal outdoor sconces cast a glow as the sun sets.
