Craving another Queer Eye makeover? We couldn’t leave you hanging for long. Today we are bringing you all the details on Matt from Queer Eye Season 4.
We meet Matt during episode 8 of Season 4. Be advised if you haven’t binged the whole season yet, there are spoilers ahead. (Also, what are you waiting for?) Matt Moreland is a recently divorced dairy farmer living in the rural town of Harrisonville, Mo. This makeover was especially meaningful for us, as Bobby also grew up on a farm in Missouri.
Matt’s the first person in his very conservative family to get divorced, and he’s adjusting to single life- which meant he had a mostly empty house for us to tackle. His life revolves around farming, and he works hard running Red Barn Ranch. We wanted to give back to Matt by elevating and updating his space, proving him with a new look for a new start.
We brought a modern farmhouse style to the Living Room, Dining Room, Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom. We added wood grain wallpaper, and lots of leather and masculine, rustic accessories. We were also able to build new tables to be used for large farm to table dinners in the barn.

Hey there 🙂 i absolutely adore the make-over you have done on Matt his place! Especially those tables that were build for the barn. Now i was wondering if there were any building plans on instructions somewhere, since i would love to recreate a table like that but don’t know where to start….
Thank you so much – We had so much fun giving some life to his space. These tables were made specifically for the show and his space so we don’t have any detailed instructions for it. You could either look for a vintage farmhouse table on Craigslist or Chairish to get the look or shop one online. Good luck with your project and sending you lots of love. xx -B
Do you have information on the barn chairs? Thank you!
You can find those chairs here. Thanks for reading! xx -B
Wow! What a refresh! Do you have information about that headboard and what looks like lighting ???
The headboard was a custom piece made from live edge wood that is lit from behind. You can achieve the same effect with a piece like this and by attaching a rope light to the back. Thanks for your comment! xx -B
