New year, another new episode of ‘Junk or Jackpot?”! So let’s see how I help this collector pare down their collection and curate new spaces in their home.
In episode 3, “Welcome To The Dollhouse“, I’m helping Tonya, a collector of lots and lots of dolls and miniatures. This grandmother and cancer survivor likes to tell her story and connect with her grandchildren through her dolls and their miniature worlds on social media. But Tonya’s collection has totally taken over her upstairs – so much so that there is no room for her grandkids to stay over. So with my help, we start to make some room in her dollhouse for a few special people by selling some of her prized dolls and getting her collection in order.
Pssss. Don’t miss my full recaps of Episode 1 with Patrick and Episode 2 with Johnny & Carlie!
‘JUNK OR JACKPOT?’: TONYA
BEFORE
Tonya’s workroom was full – and was not functional. She had lots of mini models set up for doing photoshoots with her grandkids, but there weren’t any open surfaces to actually work from.
A guest bedroom upstairs had been taken over by more of Tonya’s dolls and accessories.
Tonya made a special doll of me! Aww, there’s a mini Bimini, too.

‘JUNK OR JACKPOT?’: TONYA
AFTER
Tonya’s workroom got completely cleared out, organized, and made fully functional. I added shelving with storage bins that went all the way to the ceiling, along with a rolling ladder for her to easily access everything. A new work table in the middle of the room, complete with pendants above, also gave her an ideal surface to shoot video and photos.

Tonya’s guest bedroom is now an actual bedroom with beds! This cute dollhouse bunkbed was the perfect whimsical choice for her grandkids to enjoy sleepover.
Stay tuned next week for episode 4 of ‘Junk or Jackpot?’
