We meet Dan Stein in Episode 5 – “Deli Dan Is A Dream Man ”. Dan is the owner of Stein’s Deli, and a bit of a local celebrity thanks to his unique ads and social media presence. While his business is thriving, his personal life is another story. His girlfriend Cara feels like he isn’t fully committed to their relationship, spending most of his time at work (and leaving very little energy for her). And Dan admits that his work life is taking over – and he isn’t showing up or proving to be a dependable partner.
The Fab Five meet Dan at Stein’s and immediately discover he’s quite the character. But after getting through his rough exterior, they help him get in touch with his sweet and sensitive side and learn to be the partner that Cara deserves.
As for this design makeover, Bobby takes Dan’s underwhelming home and gives it a whole lot of personality and style, turning it into a home he will actually want to spend time in with Cara.
