It’s FINALLY here! The newest season of Queer Eye has arrived (and like us, you’ve probably binged every episode). After a long absence, and a truly challenging two years, it feels extra special to see the Fab Five, more inspiring heroes, and amazing makeovers. And even if you’ve binged the whole season (like us), you can still relive all the best design moments – as we show you how Bobby transformed 10 amazing homes, offices, barns – and even a shipping container!
To kick things off, we’re sharing one inspiring weightlifter – who had a totally uplifting story.
We meet Angel in Episode 2 – “Angel Gets Her Wings”. Angel is a competitive powerlifter, a recent college graduate, and has been an athlete her entire life. She’s totally comfortable and in control in the gym, but in everyday life, she’s struggling to find herself and her self-confidence. Having recently come out as transgender, Angel is also navigating personal changes and shifting dynamics in her relationships with her girlfriend and family.
The Fab Five arrive to help Angel mend a broken relationship with her father, translate her inner beauty outward, and give her the wings she needs to truly soar.
For this design makeover, Bobby gave Angel’s home an uplifting and hip new vibe, tackling the living room, and bedroom.
Keep scrolling to see the results of Angel’s makeover, along with the shoppable products for you to bring the look home.
Be sure to come back each week for an inside look at how all the Season 6 transformations happened – and learn how to create the heroes’ makeovers in your own space!

Have a question about a specific item used in Angel’s Makeover? Leave a comment and we’ll do our best to track it down!
my daughter and I were completely mesmerized by the bookcase/Tv combo. Literally pausing and just staring …. I’d like to know about the installation. My guess is the TV is mounted to the wall and the arm brought forward through the bookcase before mounting the TV? Details please! 🙂
Yes, we removed the woven backing on the middle shelf mounted the TV to the wall via an extending arm (In order to make sure it was completely secure). Thanks so much for your comment. xx -B
I love this idea of behind the scenes with your heroes!! Can’t wait to see all of them! Angel has been one of my favorites of all time. Her inner spirit lights up the room when she smiles. I wish I could meet her!
Keep up the great work!
Suzanne, a devoted fan
I would love to know more about what is hanging behind the bedroom shelving and behind the bed in the bedroom – curtain panels? Upholstered something or other? Also how did y’all get that behind-the-bed glow?
We installed a combination of blackout curtains and wall-mounted panels covered in faux hide. The lighting behind the bed was achieved with a simple LED light strip attached with velcro. xx -B
Bobby’s SHIRT !!!
Where’s it from?
Hi! I was curious about the arched design on the wall in the living room. I was wondering if it was a decal or simply just a painted on design.
Thank you!
Laura
That is a mural and was created by a local Austin artist, Avery Houser. xx -B
Every other question here got a answer…. vendor name and I’ll take it from there?
The shirt is from All Saints but is unfortunately no longer available. xx -B
I love the feel you get from the living room! The ceiling looks really cool with the dark color around the white beams. Would using the darker color make the room feel smaller if it wasn’t a slanted ceiling like that? Wonderful work as always!
Thank you! A darker ceiling with light walls will actually make a ceiling look taller, regardless of the actual height. xx -B
Love Season 6! Would love to know more about the chair and ottoman in Dr Jereka’s home office. The cozy white one tucked in the corner. Just what I’m looking for my office. Thanks!
We will be revealing Jereka’s makeover very soon! Stay tuned. xx -B
The abstract rainbow / sun on the livingroom wall, are those decals or just free painted?? I have a huge empty awkward wall and this really inspires me!
Isn’t it great? That was created by a local Austin artist, Avery Houser. xx -B
Hi Bobby! Did you create the fireplace using a decal or is it actual stone slabs? Also I guess this is more of a Tan question, but do you know where the bright green dress that Angel is wearing in the header pic is from?
We added a marble tile over the existing brick to create the fireplace. As for the dress, yep, you would have to ask Tan! xx -B
I would love to know where you got angel those fabulous green chairs for her table.
The chairs are made by Bontempi and purchased from Nest Modern in Austin. xx -B
I love the fireplace. What kind of marble is that?
We used polished statuary white marble for the fireplace. Thanks for your comment. xx -B
Hey there! I am dying to know where the pantsuit that Angel was wearing for the closing credit dance is from. It’s gorgeous! Angel is gorgeous. This episode was so beautiful!
That would be a question for Tan! I just handle the interiors. 🙂 xx -B
Disregard my previous question – I see it has already been asked and answered!
