Queer Eye Season 6: Jamie – The Makeover & Reveal
Bobby has pulled off plenty of impressive makeovers on this season of Queer Eye. But this week, we’re bringing you the biggest one yet – and showing you how we gave one animal lover a massive new space to help continue her heroic work.
We meet Jamie in Episode 7 – “Snow White Of Central Texas”.
Jamie runs Safe In Austin, a rescue for abused, neglected, and special needs animals of all shapes and sizes. Inspired by her Autistic son, the ranch aims to help people through their own challenges by discovering the healing power of animals. While Jamie’s open heart and caring nature are truly inspiring, taking care of hundreds of special needs animals has taken its toll on her, and she feels overworked – and overwhelmed – by the 24/7 commitment it takes to keep things running smoothly.
The Fab Five arrived at the rescue to help Jamie learn to let go of certain responsibilities, take time for herself, and make Safe In Austin an even more meaningful and memorable place for everyone involved.
For this design makeover, Bobby had to think big (very big), constructing a brand new barn from the ground up to house some very special animals.
